March 29, 1951 – The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical “The King and I” opened on Broadway. “The King and I” starred Yul Brynner in the role of the King of Siam
it probably made the rounds on tour not long after that…
from the fox theater history it looks like he appeared in atlanta in 1982 so he could have toured st louis as well that year.
